Attorney Kevin Riché won a Motion for Summary Judgment in the case of Geralyn Mariani v. Michael Rohde and Southern Fidelity Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson. Plaintiff alleged that she tripped and fell on a crack in a sidewalk in a residential neighborhood. In our Motion for Summary Judgment, The Monson Law Firm successfully argued that plaintiff had no evidence to show that a defective or hazardous condition existed and that any cracks in the sidewalk were open and obvious. The Honorable Lee V. Faulkner, Jr. granted that motion by judgment signed on March 13, 2018, thereby dismissing all of plaintiff’s claims, with prejudice.
