Sarah Murphy Barro
Sarah practices primarily in the area of insurance coverage litigation. She is skilled in the interpretation of many types of insurance policies, including but not limited to commercial general liability policies, commercial property policies, homeowners policies, professional liability policies, and directors and officers liability policies. Sarah has considerable experience litigating, mediating and arbitrating insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. Her experience includes advising and representing clients in complex insurance matters involving multiple insurance carriers, with multiple insurance policies, in excess liability situations.
Sarah also practices in the area of employment litigation. She works with employers of all types and sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to small privately held entities to state governmental agencies. Sarah has extensive experience litigating employment claims in federal and state courts, as well as before the EEOC and state agencies, arising under Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, and other federal and state laws.
Sarah is a Certified Ethics Trainer, and approved to educate and train Louisiana’s public servants on the Code of Governmental Ethics. Sarah regularly travels across Louisiana to provide educational seminars to employees of the State and its agencies.
Sarah has also been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2016, 2017 and 2018.
