Commercial General Liability

The Monson Law firm attended a 7.5 hour CE course on Commercial General Liability taught by Michelle Dennis, AIS, APL, CIC, CRIS, MLIS! The course was held at Bowen, Miclette & Britt, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Michelle gave a comprehensive look at the CGL policy components, limitations, exclusions, problems and solutions. Windstorm Insurance Network Conference

The Monson Law Firm attended the Houston Claims Association’s January luncheon at The Palm. Chris Cuellar with Rimkus Consulting Group gave a one hour CE presentation on technology in litigation and mediation! The Monson Law Firm Wins Motion for Summary Judgment in Burst Pipe Claim

Attorney Blake Lusk won a Motion for Summary Judgment in the case of Deborah R. Coleman v. Capitol Preferred Insurance Company, Inc., et al, in the Justice of the Peace Court for the Parish of Jefferson. In the Judgment signed by the Court on November 20, 2017, the Honorable Charles Cusimano, II dismissed all claims filed by Deborah Coleman, with prejudice. On the morning of trial, the Court agreed that Debora Coleman’s claims were not covered under the Capital Preferred Policy and her claims were without merit. The Monson Law Firm Wins Bad Faith Motion for Summary Judgment

Attorney Blake Lusk won a Motion for Summary Judgment in the case of John Mosbey and Roe Mosbey v. Lighthouse Property Insurance Corporation, in the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson. In the Judgment signed by the Court on December 11, 2017, the Honorable Donald A. Rowan, Jr., dismissed the bad faith claims filed by plaintiffs with prejudice. The Court agreed that Lighthouse acted in good faith in its handling of plaintiffs’ claim.  This is yet another successful Bad Faith Motion for Summary Judgment won by our firm!  Please click here  to view a copy of the judgment.
